Cheryl King, director of Stage Left Studio, and producer of the Left Out Festival and the Women at Work Festival, has teamed up with Cheryl Smallman, writer and performer of Dreamless, a play about motherhood, to create a new
festival, called MamaDrama. This festival will feature work that is about the topic of motherhood – the good, the bad, and the unbelievable.
We’re presenting plays and/or solo shows about all aspects of mothering, By focusing on mothering, we are not denigrating fathering, or fathers who serve as mothers, but we are focusing specifically in work about and/or by
MOTHERS.
This festival is for completed works, not works in progress. The festival will run Oct 13-16, and 20-23, 2010.
All shows will be presented at Stage Left Studio, in its new location at 214 West 30th Street, 6th floor. Tickets are $20 and available at www.brownpapertickets.com
